June is Pride Month and today marks the 30th Anniversary of the Philly Pride Parade. In 1988 the Lesbian and Gay Task Force generated a spontaneous Parade from the gayborhood to a rally at Love Park. The feeling of empowerment was so great, community leaders came together to coordinate a gay pride parade and Festival in Philadelphia. Today the event attracts tens of thousand of people who'll embrace the LGBTQIA Rainbow.
